Do You Know Your Neighbors?

Updated: Nov 18

Getting to know your neighbors is a great way to create unity in your neighborhood.

Take time to visit with and learn about them, what brought them to your neighborhood, if they are married, have children, pets, their interests, all the good things of getting to know one another.

You may decide to have a street party where everyone can gather, share a pot luck meal, watch the kids be kids together and enjoy getting to know each other.

So good to exhange contact information and share with newcomers where some of the best places are in the area to hike, play, eat, schools, go to church and favorite places to take families celebrating the holidays. You may consider going together for great activites.

Share with them the value of Emergency Preparation if they aren't familiar with the concepts. Being part of a good community is truly joyful and so good for everyone. It does take work and intention. It is worth it. You may consider beginning your Precinct Emergency Prep Team. See the artices on Preparing your Neighborhood.
